The George Street Carnival is back !


The George Street Carnival is Millersville's Literary Magazine. This publication will include original literary and artistic work from the Millersville University community. They will be producing an issue in the spring and will be accepting submissions from now until December 12th. They meet weekly in Hash 12 on Wednesday nights at 9pm. Anyone is encouraged to attend weekly meetings to help out with the production of the magazine or to learn more about the club and how to submit. 

 Guidelines for Submission:
-All work must be submitted before December 12th in order to be considered. 
-You must be a Millersville University student, staff, faculty, or alumni in order to submit. 
-All original work must be emailed to thegeorgestreetcarnival@gmail.com and must be in (.doc) or (.rtf) format. 
-Visual Art must be submitted electronically as an email attachment in a (.jpg) file or some other popular and compatible file format. 
-You must include your name, phone number, and the title of the piece. If you are a student you must also include your M# number. 

We will accept:
-          Poetry: you may submit up to seven original poems and no poem should be longer than two pages
-          Short fiction and Drama (or excerpts, chapters, or scenes from either novels or longer plays): You may submit up to three works of no more than 3000 words a piece. 
-          Stylistic Non-Fiction: you may submit up to two works of no more than 3000 words a piece. 
-          Visual Art (paintings, drawings, digital designs, comics, photography, other): All works must be in digital format and submitted electronically; scan all drawings, paintings, etc. You may submit no more than ten works. 

All works will be read/viewed anonymously by our extensive team of readers/editors and selected for originality and aesthetic excellence.
